«I encourage and congratulate the DG and his team for their faith in their structure, their commitment and their determination to succeed in the challenge. » These strong and warm words to SOAC are those of Mr. Gustave DIASSO, Resident Representative of the UEMOA Commission in the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.
Mr. DIASSO paid a courtesy visit to SOAC on January 16, 2020. This visit follows the audience he had given to the President of SOAC, Mr. Aboubacry BARO, in September 2019. He was accompanied by his Secretariat Head, Ms. Odile KINDE. He was welcomed by the Director General, Marcel GBAGUIDI, who had with him one of the SOAC Board of Directors, Mr. Gabriel AHISSOU, from Benin, in mission in Côte d'Ivoire, as well as all the staff.
After the visit of the premises and the presentation by the DG on the state of operation of SOAC and the current issues in terms of accreditation and quality, discussions focused on the main achievements to date and the challenges to come; they were followed by a family photo and a welcome drink donated by SOAC.
Mr. DIASSO congratulated SOAC for the appreciable results obtained despite the difficulties linked to the start of activities. He provided invaluable advice to the entire team in achieving the assigned objectives and assured the DG of the availability of the highest authorities in the Commission for the full success of SOAC. SOAC presented Mr. DIASSO with the diplomas of the last four laboratories accredited, as well as, on behalf of Mr. Aboubacry BARO, a certificate of thanks.
