Regulatory provisions relating to the authorization for exercise of activity _ Conformity Assessment Bodies of Côte d'Ivoire

Ladies and Gentlemen, first managers of conformity assessment bodies based on the Ivorian territory,

In application of the Decree No. 2014-461 on the implementation of the Law No. 2013 - 866 of 23 December 2013 on standardization and quality, the Ivorian regulatory authorities request accredited conformity assessment bodies (CABs), in particular laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection bodies, to provide SOAC with their authorization to carry out their activities, issued by their supervisory ministry.

The consecutive assessments or renewals carried out by SOAC will make it possible to verify that the procedures for obtaining the accreditation have started or to note its availability.

New applications for accreditation must be accompanied by this authorization or proof that the procedures for obtaining it have been initiated.

For CABs under the authority of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the authorization is issued in conjunction with the Directorate of Standardization and Quality Promotion (Direction de la Promotion de la Qualité et de la Normalisation - DPQN) it is entitled "Authorization for conformity assessment bodies of the Ministry in charge of industry".
