SOAC "Discovery Days"on the occasion of the 15th anniversary: Visit of HE Ambassador Babacar Carlos MBAYE, Resident Representative of ECOWAS in Côte d'Ivoire on February 05, 2020

WAAS - SOAC "Discovery Days"on the occasion of the 15th anniversary: Visit of HE Ambassador Babacar Carlos MBAYE, Resident Representative of ECOWAS in Côte d'Ivoire on February 05, 2020

15 years ago, on July 04, 2005, in Dakar in Senegal, SOAC was created by the Council of Ministers of UEMOA, after intense work carried out by experts from the region assisted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) within the framework of the UEMOA Quality Program funded by the European Union.
From 2005 to date, SOAC has worked to build a solid pool of experts, notably in partnership with peer accreditation bodies in Africa and Europe. At the same time, the culture of quality in general, and of accreditation in particular, was consolidated in the ECOWAS region, still within the framework of quality programs funded by the European Union and carried out by the UNIDO.
In March 2018, on the basis of all these achievements, the SOAC was launched. 34 months later, 12 accreditation certificates have been issued.
A series of activities will take place to commemorate 15 years of SOAC throughout 2020.
We note, in particular, “Discovery Days” with the visit of national and regional authorities to its premises located at COCODY ANGRE, Abidjan.
It is in this context that SOAC received on January 16, 2020, the Resident Representative of the UEMOA Commission in Côte d'Ivoire, Mr. Gustave DIASSO.
This February 05, 2020, SOAC has the honor to welcome His Excellency Ambassador Babacar Carlos MBAYE, Resident Representative of ECOWAS in Côte d'Ivoire.
Welcome Excellence!
