Accreditation is a regulatory activity in the WAEMU zone and is not commercial in nature; the rates applied are standardized and based on a scale validated by the member states and WAEMU.

Accreditation fees generally cover the costs of monitoring and processing the application, plus evaluation fees which depend on the scope to be accredited.
