How to be SOAC accredited ?
The bodies concerned by accreditation include laboratories, certification bodies and inspection bodies, aptitude testing bodies, verification validation bodies, etc.
Accreditation assessments are conducted on the basis of applicable standards, open to SOAC and international benchmarks.
To obtain accreditation:
Interest in initial accreditation
OEC expresses its interest in accreditation and submits a formal request to SOAC (usually by email) or, in particular, via the SOAC online platform.
Completion of the application form and review of the application by SOAC
The candidate completes the forms and provides them with all the necessary elements for the study of the admissibility of his application.
A study will be carried out to determine the admissibility of the application.
Notification of eligibility and on-site assessment
If the study proves satisfactory, SOAC proceeds with the next steps and begins assembling the accreditation team: setting the date and arranging the logistics (the team typically consists of a quality assessor, a technical assessor, the accreditation manager, and an intern). Once the accreditation candidate has paid their invoice and confirmed the team, the accreditation assessment will take place.
Accreditation decision
Once all the non-conformity reports have been settled, the organization's file will be reviewed by an accreditation committee. This committee, composed of independent members, will examine the file and issue an opinion regarding accreditation.
Directeur général du SOAC prononcera sa décision sur avis conforme du comité d’accréditation. Une fois accrédité, tout organisme d’évaluation de la conformité est évalué périodiquement pour garantir la conformité de son système au référentiel d’accréditation applicable.
