As part of the implementation of the STDF PG 770 project, the West African Accreditation System (SOAC) is launching a call for expressions of interest for the selection of Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) operating in the field of food safety.
This call aims to identify OECs with a mature and operational quality system, ready to benefit from a mock audit followed by an accreditation assessment by SOAC. CABs already accredited by SOAC can also submit their application for an extension of their scope of accreditation in the relevant field.
Eligible CABs include laboratories, inspection bodies, certification bodies, reference material producers and proficiency testing providers, in accordance with the applicable standards: ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17024, ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17065, ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17043.
Applications are open to CABs established in eligible project countries and meeting the criteria defined in the AMI.
