The West African Accreditation System (SOAC) is today reaching a decisive stage in its development. We provide you with our Technical Report detailing the results of our activities for the period 2018-2025 and our strategic orientations for 2030.
This document factually outlines the consolidation of quality infrastructure in our sub-region and the expansion of our international recognition agreements, with a marked rise in key sectors such as medical biology and calibrations.
Furthermore, at the heart of this dynamic, as illustrated on the central page of this report, is the STDF/PG/770 project “Use of digital tools to improve compliance with food safety standards in West Africa”. This major initiative directly benefits the eight WAEMU member states as well as the Republic of Guinea, by accelerating the upgrading and recognition of our conformity assessment bodies.
In order to facilitate the appropriation of these results by all of our stakeholders, we have designed a visual and dynamic version of the key points of the report.
I invite you to browse it now on our platform: https://soacwaas.org/rapport-SOAC
Wishing you an excellent reading, please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of my distinguished greetings.

Aboubacry BARO
Chairman of the SOAC Board of Directors
