Meeting with the President of the WAEMU Commission

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOAC, Mr. Aboubacry Baro, and his delegation were received by Mr. Abdoulaye Diop, President of the WAEMU Commission, on June 20, 2025. The purpose of the meeting was to review progress since the last meeting in October 2024. The delegation presented key results, including the issuance of over 100 accreditation decisions to date and the expansion of SOAC's international recognition. President Diop welcomed this progress, reaffirmed the Commission's support, and instructed the committee to conduct a thorough review of the Implementing Regulations governing SOAC's responsibilities, organization, and operation. This review was in line with the objective of strengthening SOAC's institutional integration within WAEMU and the need to consolidate community funding to ensure the sustainability of the regional accreditation mechanism.
