Inauguration of the new premises of the Department of Epidemic Viruses of the IPCI

On September 19, 2025, the SOAC (Service d'Organisation et d'Action Culturelle) was invited to the inauguration of the new premises of the Department of Epidemic Viruses at the Pasteur Institute in Adiopodoumé, Côte d'Ivoire, a major milestone for public health in West Africa. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Pierre N'gou Dimba, Minister of Health, Public Hygiene, and Universal Health Coverage, in the presence of his colleague, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Adama Diawara.
The event also celebrated the ISO 15189 accreditation of the virology laboratory, a guarantee of reliable and internationally recognized results. Recalling Côte d’Ivoire’s constant progress in quality, the Resident Representative in Côte d’Ivoire and Director General of SOAC, Marcel GBAGUIDI, in his address, reaffirmed his commitment, alongside the health authorities, to support reforms, strengthen quality assurance and support the development of the country’s laboratories’ skills.
